Acrostic Poem

Learning writing could be a pleasure,
You could have no doubt, believe yourself.
Nothing can be done without hope and confidence, just like
Now I start to write with Muse in my mind.

Listening to the sounds and observe around,
I describe them with my praise.
Valuable memories of an exquisite music box,
Elegance and charm of an old street,
Snowflakes are melting on a delicate daisy.

Fogs on a coast in an adorable morning,
Oak ridge and a gentle breeze,
Raindrops are just like poetic notes.

Think a while and write down some words,
Here, you could see my acrostic poem,
Either use imagination or concrete objects.

Day after day, practice makes perfect,
A breath of fresh air is enough when writing an article.
You and yours could give a try.

An Extraordinary Zone

Sometimes, thinking from the opposite way is fabulous and amusing to practice brainstorm ability. When people practice their writing, they do positive topics such as “How to Get Good Grades,” “How to be A Well-learned Student.” However, why don’t we write down an essay about “How to Get an F in Writing Class?”

To get an A is very easy, because many people know how to get it. To my mind, it is more difficult to get an F than people can imagine. You must observe the progress as follows. First, you don’t have to come to the class very often. If you do, you would hear all the lessons and know the tips on writing. Second, you have to fool around all the time. Don't spend your time on reading literature or useful information on writing. Third, be a procrastinator. Don't submit your homework on time, or just don't do it. In summary, if you follow the progress, you would get an F without difficulty.

It is a marvelous way to make our thinking more comical and witty. That’s fantastic. It will let our brain full of extraordinary ideas. Maybe a brilliant idea will occur to you next time. To be a humorous person and you will enjoy all the time in life.

The Beginning

When I finished the book “The Knight in Rusty Armor,” in the end of the story, there was a row of words printed on the last page, they were “The Beginning.”

It was a surprise to readers. We always take things for granted, look all the progress as usual, lead our lives ordinary, and think plain as plain may be. We seldom pay attention to things or people around us; we are getting numb and insensitive. What’s wrong with us? We can be a curious and dynamic child, not a person in an old age. We can be a writer, to write down new ideas and observe customers around in a coffee shop, or to go to the woods and live deliberately. Life could be more pleasant if we try to look things in a different way.

If you want to paint your life colorful, you don’t have to stick to any rules. You are the master of yourself, so you can choose the bright side of life. No one can hold you down, and nothing can make you depressed. Take the road you are going to take, open up your eyes, and believe in yourself.

Fathoming Mysteries

In the sonnet "The World Is Too Much with Us" the poet contrasts Nature with the world of covetousness. Because we are numb to the richness of Nature, we may be forfeiting our souls. Wordsworth looks himself as having insight to the problems which exist between humanity and nature. The materialistic progress being made by human beings is not without consequence. The destruction of the environment by mankind's shortsightedness will continue as Wordsworth has foreseen. The change hoped for by the author will not come as a result of an initiative by people, but as an uproar by Mother Nature in the form of a battle. This battle will bring forth a victory for the environment and stimulate a rebirth for the world.

Right to Know

In my opinion, an elected politician or a candidate can hold reputations because of publicizing by journalists. So journalists are allowed to write about politicians, and citizens have the right to know the truth about and supervise them.

A politician is always observed by people, because people trust politicians who have excellent personalities and match their own words with deeds. The press which has power to supervise politicians will make pressure on politicians, and they will behave correctly and cautiously, because they want to make themselves supported by people.

Consequently, if some politicians have scandals such as extra-marital affairs, opinion polls must go down. Through those politicians may say scandals do nothing with politics, some people think politicians who have these personal defects are not capable of judging right from wrong in the future, not mention leading people and tide over crisis.

In recent years, some people point out that some journalists go too far on private affairs of politicians. These excessive reports infect the quality of news, and make people feel a strong antipathy towards them. Therefore, the press must examine their own thoughts and motives, and think about the rights and interests of audience. In this way, people can supervise politicians, but these politicians can also have their privacy.

In sum, journalists should be allowed to write about the private life of an elected politician or a candidate for election, but we should respect their own privacy, the press should not go too far beyond the demarcation line of their rights. The public have a right to know about all the things, but not to be taught to invade the individual’s right to privacy.

Debate on School Uniform

I am of the opinion that school should get rid of uniforms. In appearance, wearing uniforms helps students resist peer pressure and personal security. However, it can’t stand testing. I am against this idea for the following reasons.

First, uniforms discourage individuality and creativity. Uniforms were better suited to an age of rote learning and military-style discipline than to the more exploratory and creative values of modern education.

Second, wearing uniforms gives rise to hostility between schools. Uniforms make students identifiable and emphasis the divisions between schools, making it easy for bullying and fight to develop between students.

Last but not least, uniforms hinder the development of students’ ability in aesthetics, and the right to choose what to wear. If students are allowed to choose what they like, it will make them more self-confident.

In sum, school should get rid of uniforms for fine mental development of students, reducing violence, and the welfare of the students.

Depict A Scene

I was sleeping soundly late in the night. All of a sudden, I heard a weird sound and I was roused suddenly. The sound was getting louder and louder, and it seems like something rushed toward me quickly. Then, I saw something out of the window had a sort of transparent color and flying in the air. There was a huge ghost stared at me fiercely. I was frightened to death and screamed with horror.
